Wishes

I've made many wishes throughout these past years, but why they don't come true? My wishes weren't greedy nor bad; it was wished for everyone. How hard could it be to grant it? Instead of fulfilling it, they turned out to be the opposite of what I wanted. Nothing isn't really going right. I wished upon shooting stars/meteor shower, why didn't it grant my wishes? I thought they will make it come true. What happened to all my birthday wishes each year? They've been the same for the longest time I remember. Nothing happened. And 11:11? Failure. So, answer me: What's the point of wishing? The higher the expectations, the bigger the disappointment.
Even though nothing much really came true, I'll keep on wishing and hoping 'cause I believe that there are miracles.
